Welcome To Zion Hospital Helping Africa

ABOUT US

Zion Hospital is a 40-bed community-based hospital that provides essential Primary Care Services to the greater Deep eye community. Founded in February 2021 by Mrs Abibatu Aminata Koroma after a long-term vision birthed in the year 2000. (our story- this page will lead to the .org). The name Zion is derived from the bible and a there is a portion of scripture that says “No one living in Zion will say, “I am ill”. We believe that our patients that comes with multiple problems will not go back the same as they came but will be healed physically, spiritually and psychologically. Health Care in Sierra Leone is still a “Survival of the fittest”, the rich can afford to visit the walls of a hospital, but the poor cannot afford it when they are sick, instead they go to the nearest herbalist, the nearest quack doctor or any other means they can afford because they cannot afford huge healthcare bills.

Many communities are not proximal to health clinics and many including children and pregnant still have to walk and transportation is a major difficulty to take people from end to the other, especially if you are feeling unwell. Due to several reasons, many cannot access healthcare care services and many untimely deaths for treatable conditions.

We are situated at Deep Eye Water with a community of over 10,000 inhabitants and it is currently without a health centre. The sick, the aged, pregnant women and children under five has to walk over 5-10 KMs to access basic health care services.

Our aim is for our communities to seek affordable health care services at the right place and the right time. We cater for pregnant women, children and adult of all ages.
